COURSE DESCRIPTION
The subject is aimed to help students to build reading speed and reading fluency which allows them to process the language more automatically. This subject is aimed at introducing students to the various texts and to encourage the students to read by maintaining a log with details of reading comprehension each week; summarizing weekly reading. Moreover, students are required to interact with a variety of texts for different purpose; using critical thinking skills, deducing meaning from the text; understanding author purposes; guessing and predicting content and giving response to the texts

Moreover students should read ideally at least 150-200 words per
minute or a little lower for beginning students.

At the end of
the semester, students are able to
